    They were all (at one time) Whigs.

  2. David Atchison was not a Whig. But you're very, very close. The fact that virtually all were Whigs is itself a clue.

  3. I think I implied the answer by starting the "Millard Fillmore: Know Nothing" series. All of the gentlemen named were either Know Nothings, accepted Know Nothing endorsements, or at least publicly endorsed the Know Nothings.
